There are physical effects as well as mental effects of alcoholisms. These are:
Physical effect:
According to certain rough studies conducted, there are nearly 14 million people in United States who are alcoholics. Nearly one in every 13 adults share alcoholic backgrounds. According to all the studies that have been done in field of alcohol suggest that men are 4 times more likely to be alcoholic drinkers than the women. Alcohol related abuse are also common among men and not women. Men are twice likely to be victim of excessive alcoholism than women.
Alcoholism damages the nervous system of the individual; it may also destroy the brain cells of a person. Alcoholic and the toxin related to alcohol can also damage the reflex action of the nerve cells and the nervous system.
Alcoholic persons can also face problems related in the muscular actions and can even cause organic damage to various body part of the person. These organs not only increase the physical problem but also can be mentally challenging to the person.
Physically it can really produce numbness in hands and other body parts. Excess of alcohol in an individual can cause loss of balance in the body.
Excessive alcoholism may also lead to blindness tremors and even may cause impotency in a person.
Alcohol also cause physiological and behavioral loss in a person, it can damage the sensory organs of a person thus causing a state of mental confusion.
Ability to learn can also deteriorate in a person who is under heavy alcoholism. Alcoholism in a person may also cause DTs in this case the person may suffer from frequent shivers and even chills. The person may sweat excessively thus causing a state of hallucination and even mental irritability.
Rapid pulse rate heart beat and even hallucinations are common causes of alcoholism.
Alcoholism may damage the liver thus causing liver cirrhosis in the person who has been a regular alcohol user. Excess of alcohol can also cause cancer and may also result in death of the individual.
There is a high damage risk to the esophagus, liver and even the larynx of the person.
Alcoholism may also cause impotency and other sexual dysfunction. It may also damage heart and cause various cardiac problems in an individual. It also damages the cardiovascular system and may cause heart failure.
Excessive alcoholism is dangerous for an individual so it is better to stop using excessive alcohol and stop deteriorating your day to day life.
